I caused a minor accident today and I feel like an idiot.
I was driving somewhere I’d never gone by myself before and was second guessing where I was supposed to turn, and in my confusion I changed lanes when I shouldn’t have, the back of my car scraping the front of the other person’s car. Thankfully the person was very nice and wasn’t upset at all, and he even tried to make it sound like we were both to blame, though I’m fairly confident it was me not being mindful enough of my blind spot. Neither of us had significant damage, we exchanged information, it should be fine, but I feel so embarrassed. I also caused a minor accident fourteen years ago when I was a freshly licensed teen, and I’ve been an anxious driver ever since. I really wish I didn’t have to drive, as I’ve always hated it, but I don’t have other options. I don’t know why I’m writing this except just hoping that I’m not alone.
