I'm getting close to finishing the Camille's Waistcoat by Bunnymuff, but I'm running into some minor fit issues currently. I've finished the main body and straps but have not connected the straps at the top of my shoulders yet, and I'm encountering this wrinkling at the back when I lean backwards even slightly. It's fairly smooth when I stand up straight so it isn't such a big deal that I'd be willing to frog all the way down to the body, but is this something I could correct at this stage? For example, would shortening the front straps help so there is more tension pulling the back upwards? Is this something blocking would help with? 

Something else of note: I did modify the pattern by adding about an inch more length than recommended before starting the bust increases because I wanted the hem to sit a bit further down on my hips, but since I didn't add additional increases at the bottom I suspect this could potentially be contributing to the wrinkling. I figured blocking could maybe increase the circumference the bottom lace section a bit so it has less negative ease around my hips, but if the wrinkling is happening because of something else I doubt this would help much.

Any words of wisdom from more experienced knitters is welcome!



Tips for dealing with this wrinkling?
