Is the pre-med committee letter worth it?

I'm a rising Junior planning to apply to med schools in June of 2027... I've heard stories about GSU's pre-med committee letter doing more harm than good and wasn't sure..

Should I do it? If so, then by when should I have it done? What's the process for getting LORs from professors/mentors/physicians I've worked with?
