File transfer from SD to HDD/SSD?

Does anybody have a solid way they transfer their files from SD card to their external drive? Do you have a single hub or device that helps with this?

As it stands, I either have to upload to iCloud then to my hdd but that takes forever. Would like something faster but don’t always want to go back home to connect to my iMac.
