Is this why I can’t make friends?

Im pregnant with my first baby. Trying to make friends with other moms because i currently have no friends. Ive always struggled with making friends, i dont know why. Maybe its becuase im too selfish. I feel like becoming a mom is my time to make friends. I messaged someone and they never messaged me back. I know things happen but is this a conversation that should have waited? Was i too out-there? I just need some advice please.
