Gifts for parents long awaited trip

Hey guys

My parents are doing the NC 500 after years of wanting to. I was hoping to put together a little gift basket of things that would be helpful on the drive. So far I'm thinking

- physical map (I've read signal is bad)

- camera

- smidge (is this helpful?)

Is there anything you guys found helpful or unhelpful on your journeys?
