Beginner Ball Recommendations

Hi everyone!

I’ve been bowling for fun for a few months now and I finally want to invest in my own ball. A little background, I bowl one handed (right) with no thumb. Whenever I bowl I use a 12lb house ball and hook the ball. My buddy has a 14lb tropical surge and i tried it out but I just felt like the pins tipped over rather than exploded if that makes sense. I did get a good feel for it hook wise, but I want something that adds more power when it connects with the pins. Any recommendations would help, I also wanted a recommendation on the weight, the 14lb tropical surge felt good, but i could definitely tell there was less velocity with the 14lb tropical surge and the 12lb house ball.
