I can’t fucking take it, so I fake it,
till I make it or I break it.
But don’t mistake it,
there’s a spiral in my brain, I fucking hate it.

The smile, a facade,
so fucking sour I can taste it.
The old me had to die
and now the new me will embrace it.

When she passes by, by surprise,
I get so high I want to chase it.
And when she sighs at my cries,
my happy dies, I can’t escape it.

When her eyes refuse to pry
beneath my transformation blanket,
my smile hides in the lies
I tell myself so I can face it.

I’m not afraid to kill my old self,
cause my new self wouldn’t save it.
Not just a chapter or a book,
the whole fucking library; had to enflame it!

A new foundation I have built,
no longer stilts, you can’t erase it.
And when I’m whole the world will know,
because I’m gonna fucking change it!
