Transfer all good Pokémon from old games to Home?

Hello, the title gives the question. I have played Leaf Green with a game file that I started when I was eight. I also have an Emerald and Pearl laying around somewhere. Does it make sense to transfer "good" Pokémon that I want to somehow keep up to Pokémon Home? Haven't touched either of these games in years and I don't know how the stats and level transfer but do they change or are they kept somehow? Currently I just play Pokémon GO but who knows maybe some day I'll get a newer game and I could reuse some Pokémon from the olden days.
