I started a remote job and I knew it would be a challenge but I deeply underestimated how dysfunctional I would be out of a traditional work setting. All tips tricks and tough love needed and appreciated.
I started a remote job, it was going well and then my workload picked up and I have been drowning. I do so well in traditional work settings that I naively thought I had outgrown the worst of my executive dysfunction. I haven't felt like this much of a mess since college. This job is a huge opportunity and if I can pull it together it could be really good for me. But I have been in a dysfunctional cycle for two weeks. I end everyday planning how to do better tomorrow and then every day is the same. I get started late. I feel panicked about expectations I'm not meeting. I can't stay on task for more than a chunk of time. Writing it out feels idiotic because like, just do it. But it's this insane insurmountable wall that makes my chest tight all day. Its early enough on in this spiral that I don't think it's apparent to anyone else yet, and I still have hope that I'll pull it together asap. Does anyone work from home with little oversight? Or just work for yourself? I'm just looking for every piece of advice possible.
