Do i stand no chance?:(

Guys im raising my white flag needing advice.

Im a 22F and have a mad crush on someone at work
(21M) for over half a year now.

We were never close throughout and rarely sit together, i was also away for 4 months so there was 0 contact between us, i almost thought ive got over him until one day he came into my dream and we were dating do and when i woke up i go 'urgh looks like im love again.'

I will be away again for another 3 months so yesterday i finally got the guts to text and ask him to grab lunch tgt before work, but he said he got a busy morning : ( i offered to grab tgt sometime but he didnt even put me on read my text (cryTwT) ive never initiated before because i was always taught to not do that as a girl, i reckon i need a breather here to take in the rejection...

I guess he's just not The One if he don't reciprocate my energy. But i would like to know still do i have zero chance based on everything happening here?

Fyi i came out from my past relationship a year ago and i sometimes tell my coworkers sitting around me. I couldnt remember if ive told him about my ex (bf that that time) or if hes aware
