I recently bought a mystery box from pokecollects as I’m just getting back into Pokemon after like 15 years and I thought that maybe this place just had excess etbs and boxes and I fell for it after seeing it on TikTok. It even had

I know, I know, why would you buy from a tik tok shop. Well, the website looked legit and I looked up reviews on Reddit and they said it was legit and that they even had a shop in Las Vegas. So I ordered 2 of their “Diamond Vaults” for $74 each.

Well I got the email from them and that also looked legit… until I looked at it again today(one day later) and noticed there was no confirmation number or even a link back to the website. I then tried to go back to the website and the website is gone and then someone reported it to the BBB and that was popping up pretty high on the search. I then noticed that the website that I had visited and the website that… still shows up on google, has a different domain than the name of the shop which is toptablecollects.com.

Man, even the address that was in the “confirmation” email took me to some random building in Seattle where the closest tcg shop in like 10-15 minutes away from it.

I started doing some more digging and apparently they do send stuff but it’s usually in Korean, or fake cards, or they send them to random addresses. The email that was used is the same email that has been reported in various other Reddit posts and TikTok’s that I’m now just seeing.

Stay away from anything with tabletopcollects
Toptablecollects, pokecollects or thevault.

I wish I would have done more digging before placing my order. I was just super excited to maybe at least once have a possibility at opening a few packs for somewhat close to retail price. These scammers and scalpers are ruining this stuff and pushing people away. Now I’m not sure if I even want to get back into it cause it’s so expensive and my first experience is now possibly my last because of it.
