Jury Duty Excuse

Welp, it finally happened, I got called for jury duty. I was curious how likely it will be that I get excused. My plate is filled for the period they requested and it's stuff I can't easily move or get out of. Is Dana fair in awarding postponement? And how long does it usually take to hear back after mailing the request in?
