BPI auto loan approved but officer MIA — how long to get docs and PO?
Hoping to hear from anyone who's taken out a BPI auto loan through their Virtual Store (the online/remote loan officer setup, not a physical branch). Was your assigned loan officer responsive? How did the process go for you?
Here's my situation, roughly in order:
- July 22: Submitted my auto loan application for a brand-new car through a dealership.
- Aug 3: Received an SMS that my loan was approved. Got assigned to a Sales Officer
- Aug 6: Got the loan computation, reviewed it, and confirmed my chosen payment option.
- After that: Followed up several times by email asking for the next steps and the contract signing schedule. Most went unanswered.
- Recently: Finally got a short reply saying the loan is still under promo and that they're "processing the PO and preparing the loan documents."
- As of now: Still no actual loan documents, no Purchase Order (PO), and no signing schedule or timeline. Back to silence.
My questions:
- Timeline: For those who've done a BPI auto loan — how long did it actually take to receive the loan documents and the PO after approval? Is a wait like this normal?
- Unresponsiveness: The lack of communication is frustrating. What would you do to move this along? (I've already tried following up by email and I'm considering calling the contact center.)
- Rejection risk: Is there any chance an already-approved loan gets rejected or cancelled at this stage? Or once you're approved and under promo, is it basically locked in?
Appreciate any insight or shared experiences — just trying to figure out if this is normal BPI processing time or if I need to escalate harder. Thanks!
