I'm 29 and Contemplating whether I've ended up in the Wrong Career
Hello all, I'm 29, live in the UK and have been working in HR data at a University for 4 years. I've found some fulfillment from this work, mainly from the technical and problem solving side of this job, but overall it has bored me and left me feeling a bit unfulfilled. The HR side of it tends to involve resolving mundane and petty issues, and the office politics is something which I have any interest in. My grades from my school days (not sure how relevant this is) aren't awful but not amazing either.
I guess that my question is how have others in a similar situation identified a career which they feel is better suited to them? I'm not expecting someone to identify the specific career for me, I just want to know how others may go finding their path.
I don't want to be rash, but at the same time I don't want to commit 10+ years to a career I don't enjoy and then live with the regret afterwards. Is it too late to consider changing career? I have a degree in Business and HR Management, but not many other skills outside of my field that I can think of.
Thank you all, and apologies if I've left out any key details.
