do u guys blind buy perfumes or is trial sets the only sane way to shop for scents online

perfumes might be the hardest thing to shop for online istg. everyones idea of "fresh" or "woody" is completely different and half the amazon reviews are ppl saying "smells nice" which tells me nothing lol.

been seeing more brands drop discovery kits recently so instead of gambling ₹800 to ₹1000 on a full bottle i just ordered a sample set from one of the newer brands that keeps popping up on my feed. instagram, amazon recs, even saw it on a reddit thread here few weeks ago. curiosity won.

honestly wayyy less pressure. tried the samples over a week and now i actually know which one id commit to in full size. couple of them i thought id love based on the notes but they smelled completely different on my skin than i expected.

so genuinly curious, do u guys just blind buy or always do discovery sets first?? feel like i wasted so much money in the past just buying based on notes and instagram review
