Imaging / Tellica strategy??

Questions

I am really just trying to understand what is happening on the backend and strategy. I know that Medicare has implemented requirements for imaging specifically CT/MRI to be completed
At lower cost imaging centers I.e. outside of the hospital where they can charge more. Hence the development of Tellica. My understanding is Tellica is a “for profit” LLC owned by a non-profit organization but marketed as “non profit”. (I’m learning that while IH may not operate illegally they certainly arnt above operating unethically) what is happening on the scheduling backend ? Orders are being force routed to Tellica. If a patient is not Medicare but has insurance are they just trying to get them to “cash pay” for that “discount” at Tellica ? If patient doesn’t want to cash pay will they still schedule them at Tellica and does that still end up saving the patient money OR do they then steer
The scheduling to a hospital to “bill more”? Turns out IH has other clinic non hospital imaging options that are being left of the mix/conversation and volumes in those settings are suffering immensely. No one seems to care about this, which makes me
think there is a $$ strategy somewhere behind the scenes and my gut ? Ethics. Ultimately doesn’t seem like anyone cares how this affects patients. Anyone have any insider insight?
