Anyone went to gokarna and Dandeli without a tour guide from Hyderabad

Context: we are planning a trip to Gokarna and Dandeli from Hyderabad We’ve seen a lot of Instagram pages offering packages, but we’d prefer to plan and travel on our own. However, transportation seems to be a bit difficult to figure out.
