How do I get back into the work force after being out for 5 years?

Joined the military at 18, got out at 22. Haven’t worked since, and now that I’m almost 28 and have been unemployed for 6 years I’d like to try to get back into it. But I don’t know where to begin as I don’t have any real skills.

I am starting college in January though
