Is civil engineering good

I kept my first preference aerospace but I don't think I'll get in cuz I'm on the edge but I kept my next preference for civil engineering because of my family and I didn't really mind it. But now I'm not sure about civil engineering. Should I go for civil or gap year for aerospace
