Focalin can foc off.

Medication & Side Effects

A cautionary tale. NOT medical advice.

We should all trust ourselves MORE (mainly talking to myself).

I was on Ritalin IR for months. It worked very well. Best med for me so far and I've tried a bunch. Didnt last long enough so Dr switched necth focalin ir for a trial.

One issue I feel the Dr (and maybe I too) should have considered - I started it exactly as my luteal week was starting and I have pmdd. These weeks are already a struggle.

I was a super depressed and emotional mess. I forced myself to meditate and exercise. I was researching all the things. I blamed the dose being too low. I blamed my life stresses... I thought - give it time. Plus my Dr was on vacay. So stuck w it a week after luteal. I was still an emotional wreck and seriously prob the worst I've ever felt. Depressed, crying, couldn't handle a normal day. Finally couldn't take it so was able to talk to covering Dr. They said stop. Go back to Ritalin for now.

The very next day back on Ritalin and I feel like my old self.

Why so we (I) second guess ourselves? Why don't we trust ourselves more?

Just sharing in hopes it helps someone. Bc i almost didn't make it.
