Zoned UFS storage?

I see that the "zoned" UFS storage is only included on the 512gb and 1tb models of the 11 pro fold. I believe the same was true last year. Do we have any idea what the real world impact of that is? I don't care as much about longevity since I upgrade my phone fairly often but if it has a noticeable performance impact that would affect my decision.
