Is nursing respected in the USA?

I,m a foreign nurse from Egypt. I passed the NCLEX-RN exam and will be in The USA on an EB-3 visa to start my nursing career in the usa, but i wanna ask u how u guys being treated by the society overall?

Here in Egypt, nurses are looked down upon and u will look as a failure in high school just because u entered nursing, and u will be treated harshly by doctors and also looked down upon, even though i entered nursing because i genuinely love it.

I did my research and i know the USA is much better for nurses than Egypt, but i wanted to get your guys real-world experiences.
