Jehovah's Witnesses can't escape their past

I always find interesting how Jehovah's Witnesses are actively trying to escape their past.

They hide their books

Destroy them

Put excuses around them

Tony Morris video speaking are gone for ever and now way to bring them back.

My question is why does this organization needs to be constantly trying to rewrite it's history?
