One bedbug alert - any positive stories?

Hi,

So, after a repair crew visited my house to fix the AC, like one day after, I found 1 bed bug in my bed. No signs of bites, nothing on the mattress or around the bed, nothing on sheets, etc. I washed the linen, and I will be monitoring to see what happens next, but what additional things can I do to make sure the hitchhiker didn't do anything more? Does anyone have an experience where they found one bug and nothing happened? I feel like I've seen only the horror stories, and now I am terrified!
