Question about Joe , Peach and Castle Doctrine

Just curious, when Joe is in Peach’s house with her gun, she knocks him out and when he regains consciousness she has the gun and says she’d be well within her rights to shoot him.

I know next to nothing about law but I would assume at that point (if she shot him) the courts would rule she wasn’t in enough danger to justify using lethal force. Does anyone know?
