I don't enjoy Little Stanger should I read the Edge of Darkness Trilogy? Both by Leigh Rivers

I had my fair share of booktok's dark romance, nothing really bothers or trigger me much. It's just that I couldn't finish Little stranger, iust storywise doesn't really hit the spot for me. I was wondering if| should read the Trilogy because I've heard good things. Any thoughts?
