Failed MA. Need an opinion regarding my next steps
Hey Guys!
I have attempted Management Accounting today. I have done a live online course with Kaplan, made 8 pages worth of formulas and did my best to memorise them, solved around 80% of Kaplan's Exam Kit (though I gave the wrong answers like 60% of the time and tried to learn from my mistakes) and stayed up to 12AM to study. Despite this, my top score was 49% on the mock exams and I failed today with 41%
I am waiting for the result to be uploaded to my ACCA account to get some feedback and plan to contact Kaplan and ask for some advice as well.
I am currently thorn between 2 choices:
-
Should I rebook my MA exam for September and restart studying for it after taking a short break (the 72 hours before ACCA posts a feedback on my exam)
-
Leave MA for now and study for BT (I have already passed FA) to get some confidence or simply get it out of the way and concentrate on MA again.
On that note, do I need to buy a course on BT? I heard from many people that just buying the book and exam kit is more than enough to pass it.
I truthfully expected the fail, since I didn't pass a mock exam even once. While I expected it, it's still rather disheartening, since this is just the Applied Knowledge level and the further down the line I go the more complicated this will be (so part of me is thinking if I'll manage it, aka Financial Management).
Thank you to whoever read this rant.
