PC continues to boot loop
Trying to solve my friend’s pc problems but can’t seem to figure it out. Here’s everything I’ve tried :
SYMPTOMS - Boot loop of motherboard ASUS logo, after about 4 or 5 reboots system would launch to purple windows 11 install and reboot at clicking install page and sometimes make it to drive selection for Windows install.
- Reset BIOS
- Disabled RAM DOCP profile
- Wiped SSD
- checked ssd health and everything came out good
- Tried one RAM stick and switched them (A2 channel)
- Tried NEW single RAM stick (A2 channel)
- Disconnected all peripherals only keeping motherboard, RAM, keyboard, Mouse connected
- Updated BIOS to newest stable version
- Moved SSD to lower m2 slot - noticed plastic still on thermal pad - removed plastic tried again - no luck
- Tried NEW PSU
- Made secondary Windows Media Creation Tool (WMCT) to rule out bad USB
- Tried different USB slots for WMCT
- Checked CPU - noticed stock processor bracket removed - CPU only held in place my NZXT AIO mounting bracket
- Looked at pins - didn't notice any damage on MOBO or on CPU
- Installed thermalright ASF AM5 CPU bracket - new Artic thermal paste installed
- Enabled DOCP profile - windows reached 15 percent install with 5400 MHZ RAM speed before boot looping
- Tried 6000 MHZ EXPO profile on new g skillz RAM - Windows reached 11% install before boot looping a few times and back into installer
- Moved AIO from CPU FAN to AIO slot on motherboard - disabled CPU fan warning in BIOS (system ran 2 degrees cooler)
- system will boot into bios and remained stable for an hour , didn’t test longer than this
- post lights did not get stuck on anything
