Austria Schengen Visa from Abu Dhabi – Approved, Multi-Entry | Full Timeline (July–Aug 2026), no agent

**Timeline**

- **24 July 2026 (Fri)** – Biometrics/submission appointment, Abu Dhabi

- **27 July 2026 (Mon)** – Received at the Embassy of Austria in the UAE, status changed to "under process"

- **12 Aug 2026 (Wed), ~10 AM** – Email: processed application in transit from the Embassy of Austria to the Abu Dhabi operation centre

- **12 Aug 2026 (Wed)** – Dispatched via courier the same day

- **13 Aug 2026 (Thu)** – Arrived in Dubai

**Total: 20 calendar days (15 working days)** from appointment to passport back in Dubai.

Embassy-side processing alone — from receipt on 27 July to decision dispatched on 12 Aug — was **16 calendar days (13 working days)**.

**Outcome: Approved — multi-entry.**

**What likely helped**

- Previous Schengen visas with a clean travel history

- A valid US visa

**Notes**

- Applied entirely by myself. The process is straightforward if your documents are in order — an agent is not necessary.

- Status tracking wasn't very detailed. It sat on "under process" for about two weeks with no updates, then everything moved within 24 hours.
