$29 ticket with resort stay - combine with passholder discount?

A friend and I are contemplating a trip to Cedar Point next month. I have a Gold Pass, he does not, so would have to purchase one ticket. We would likely spend a night at Breakers, and I know I get a passholder discount on hotel stays. There is also a promotion offering a $29 park ticket with a hotel stay. Does anyone know if it's possible to stack the two discounts? That is, passholder discount on the hotel stay PLUS the $29 ticket? Online it does not look like I can do both, but if there is a way I cannot find it. I was planning to call and ask but figured I would check here first to see if anyone knows.

Thanks!
