Maybe dumb: Will cotton tie dye have any effect on wool / nylon?

I understand this dye is not ideal for these fabrics, but I am wondering if that means they will have no effect or just come out muted/faded? Thanks!

The actual makeup of the garment: 44% Merino Wool, 50% Nylon, 6% Lycra Spandex
