AITA for asking my boyfriend to stop leaving his dirty dishes in the sink all night
last week I got home from a long shift and found the sink full again with his cereal bowl and coffee mug from breakfast. I had already asked him twice to rinse them before work so the kitchen didn't smell like sour milk by evening, but he kept forgetting. I finally told him I needed him to start putting them in the dishwasher or at least rinsing them right away. he got quiet and said it felt like I was treating him like a kid. he reminded me he does other chores like taking out the trash and fixing the leaky faucet last month, and he thinks I'm too strict about small things. I get that, but coming home to a stinky sink still bothers me. he's been doing the dishes immediately since I said something, but now he acts annoyed whenever I thank him for it. I don't know if asking him to change that one habit made me the bad guy or if it was reasonable.
