Money at Risk Bank Scam Calls

Have you received a call from your "bank" asking you to “move your money to a safe account?" PSA: Your bank won't tell you to do this.

More big red flags that these are scams:

  • They pressure you to act immediately.
  • They tell you to transfer money to a “safe” account.
  • They ask for a one-time passcode, PIN, password, or full card number.
  • They insist you stay on the phone and don’t call the bank directly.
  • They want payment by crypto, gift card, wire, or payment app.

The safest move: hang up and call the number on the back of your card, use your bank’s app, or go directly to its official website.
