Include how many will be in the car

Why doesn't Lyft ask the pax how many will be coming with them along the ride? people with smaller cars can only hold but a few people. Include the number of people so the driver can see that and decide if they want to waste gas to go to the location and then have to refuse because of not enough room for all the people who are coming. Would make sense to do this when the offer comes to us. I just had to cancel a ride because they had 4 kids coming along.
