Description:
Standard of Iron is an open-source historical real-time strategy game set during the Second Punic War, following the conflict between Rome and Carthage.
I’ve recently released v0.1.0, and I’m looking for playtesters who would be willing to spend some time with the game and share their experience. The game features large-scale battles, unit formations, resource gathering, army management, siege combat, and a campaign inspired by the major events and battles of the war. There is also a first-person commander mode for players who want to experience the battlefield from a different perspective.
This is still a very early release, so rough edges, bugs, balance problems, and confusing mechanics are expected. That’s exactly why I’m looking for fresh eyes! I’d especially appreciate feedback about the controls and UI, performance, crashes or graphical issues, gameplay that feels confusing or frustrating, and anything you think would make the game more enjoyable.
Even 15–30 minutes of playtesting and a few thoughts afterward would be genuinely helpful. If you give it a try, please mention your platform and hardware along with any feedback. Good, bad, broken, strange, I’d love to hear it all. Thanks for checking it out! ❤️

Involvement:
I’m the developer of Standard of Iron. I’ve been working on the game and am now at the stage where feedback from people who haven’t been involved in development is especially valuable. I’m hoping this first public release will help me find bugs, identify confusing parts of the game, and understand what players would most like to see improved or expanded in future versions.
