Trying to have audio on wired headset and tv at the same time

So im just wondering if its possible to have audio output from my wired headset from my controller and also outputing the same sound thru my tv. It seems that i can only choose one? I'm trying to play a game while listening thru my headset and still have the sound come out of my tv. Anyone know if its possible? If so how?
