Retracted ear drums…pain?!

I have been having awful deep aching ear pain and sinus pressure pain for a few weeks after flying and finally went to the dr. She said both ear drums are retracted. Is this what is causing the sinus pain? She didn’t quite know and just referred me to ENT. The pain is getting worse so looking for any help!!
