Should I still apply to high ranking unis?

I want to apply for PPE at a high ranking uni (Warwick, maybe LSE or UCL) but I’m not sure if it’s worth it as I’m worried I’ll get auto rejected because of my situation

Last year I got BBD in Maths, History and Chem at AS-level after struggling with my mental health. I resat Y12 this year and got AAB in Politics, Maths and Further Maths and an A in Welsh Bacc. I’m also doing another subject which is linear/English exam board (so no AS exams, just A2 exams).

I’ll probably get predicted A*A*AA + achieved A in WBQ, I think I can write a good personal statement and I got 10A*s 2As at GCSE, but obviously me resitting is quite a big problem and I don’t want to waste a UCAS spot on a uni that will instantly reject me.

I’m on a waiting list to get tested for ADHD and other stuff so I might be able to justify why I retook a year but it still feels like a gamble as to whether the unis will care or not.

What should I do??
