Question regarding Time Bombs. Question is: If I leave the game on pause will that 'tick' the timer in solo?

So I tried time bomb today and, long story short, I learnt the timer is in real world seconds not in game seconds despite Microwaves and cooking fuel being measured in in-game seconds (😒).

Now, I have to wait 3 real world hours for the bloody thing to go off.

Question is: If I leave the game on pause will that 'tick' the timer in solo?
