Need help selecting a device !

I am going to join my bachelors in csit so I need a device for it ig. I already do have a lenovo laptop i5-1035G1 with 8 GB DDR4 and 512 GB SSD. It has linux on it so it runs okay and I generally do my programming projects in this. Tara it holds me back when doing some creative work. And I also want to play more games. So I wanna get a new device either a laptop or pc doesnt matter. I am leaning towards a pc. Any thoughts ? My budget is around 1.2 - 1.5 lakhs so any suggestions ?
