What is the margin of error when it comes to picking a parcel size?

Im sorry if this a really dumb question. The shipping on this app is confusing me a lot. I’m a seller and I understand that each parcel size has a max weight, but the sizes confuse me a lot. The app doesn’t - in my opinion - explain the exact dimensions you can use very well. Can someone help provide me a better breakdown of how it works?
