ECE students/alumni who took BITS HD — any preparation tips?

Hi everyone, I'm a final-year student and considering preparing for the BITS HD (Higher Degree) entrance exam for M.E./M.Tech after graduation.

I’m interested in the ECE-related programs, and I wanted to hear from people who have actually taken the exam or joined BITS through BITS HD.

A few things I’d really appreciate advice on:

• How difficult is the ECE portion compared to GATE ECE?
• Which subjects/topics should I prioritize?
• What resources/books did you use for preparation?
• How much preparation time is realistically required?
• Is solving GATE-level questions enough, or does BITS HD require a different approach?
• How was the actual exam compared with your expectations?
• For those who got into BITS, how competitive was the admission process/rank requirement?
