can the additional info section be used for research abstracts?

so if i published literature/did independent research that i explain in my activities list, can i put something like "see additional info for full abstract" and put it there if the college doesnt allow you to submit abstracts? or is this section used solely for the purpose of explaining extenuating circumstances.
