Got locked out of my Fanfills account

Sunday morning I open the site and I'm just staring at some vague screen saying my account has been restricted. No email, no notification, nothing. Spent the next hour convinced I'd said something wrong somewhere and just couldn't remember what.

Turns out I hadn't done anything. Emailed Fanfills support, got a response about a day later saying the system flagged me as possibly underage during some verification check, which is almost funny because I'm 34. Sent a photo of my ID, waited another day, got unlocked. Two days of my account frozen for something I could've resolved in ten minutes if anyone had bothered to tell me what was happening. Apparently theres some extra verification layer certain profiles get hit with and nobody warns you about it when you sign up.

Meanwhile mid-conversation with someone I'd been talking to for over a week. Now she thinks I ghosted her.

Not really sure how to handle that part. Do I message her now and try to explain what happened without sounding like I'm making up a weird excuse?
