Painting a bodhrán

Ive got a average bodhrán from Waltons. Its 12" plain and im presuming goat skin.

Im looking to put a Cetic design on it but im not sure whether to use acrylic paint, posca markers or inks.

Has anyone any advice? Ive only got one bodhrán so I cant do a test patch
