Networking in HK...

Heyy. I'm a university student in HK and I wanna understand what role networking plays in getting an internship or FT role in HK. (How diff is it compared to the US, UK or EU)

A few questions I have:

\- How important is networking if you wanna work in finance in HK?

\- How impactful is it? Is it just coffee chats to learn about the role or does it translate to referrals?

\- How common or uncommon is networking in HK?

\- What's the best way to network? LinkedIn? F2f networking events?

\- How to strategically network in order for a referral, if it's a thing in HK?

\- Any networking tip (unconventional ones, not the typical LinkedIn msg one)?

I know these are a lot of questions, but would really appreciate any insights on it in HK!
