Why so many People Tokenized the Fact of Being Autistic?

I hope I am not the only one to hate phrases like "[Thing] gives autistic vibes" or "I got that girl, because of my autism". It isn’t funny it’s just infuriating and when I speak it up people brush it off with "I have a different opinion so you’re wrong". If people said that Sonic is gay, they would outrage, but because that’s ASD, "It isn’t that bad".
