I got tired of how "basic" skill books always take 220 pages to read, and how every skill has the EXACT SAME book size, as if Metalworking, Mechanics, and Electricity have the same depth or length as Carving, Flint Knapping, or Aiming...

All skill books follow a linear 220-260-300-340-380 pattern for a total of 1,460 pages, which makes zero sense. 220 pages for basic Flint Knapping? Really?

So I made this mod: [Realistic Book Pages](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3777767140)

I spent a few hours researching and hand-balancing every book based on its progression stage, in-game title, and real-life counterparts. Now, every book has a unique page count. Other readables also have a way to be tweaked to give RNG effect, in a MP server, a carving I book with low page count can have greater value than one with more pages, same for a recipe magazine.

The mod also adjusts book weights based on page count, scales non-vanilla skill books (like Nimble) added by other mods and also scales mood benefits based on book size, a book with 500 pages will have 500/220(ref value) times more mood benefits, but the benefit can also be "collected" by milestones, like every 10%, so every 50 pages of a 500 book page you will get a good chunk of mod benefits, while a 70 book pages will have 70/220 mood benefits and every 7 pages you will get the mood effect.

Check out the full balancing table on the Steam page or [GitHub](https://github.com/MoldyHouse/RealisticBookPages_PZmod) . Feel free to leave any suggestions in a GitHub issue.
