I realized something uncomfortable about productivity: most “productivity systems” are just procrastination with better branding.
I used to think being productive meant having the perfect system.
The perfect app.
The perfect planner.
The perfect routine.
The perfect list of habits.
Then I realized something uncomfortable:
Sometimes building the system becomes a way of avoiding the actual work.
You organize your tasks instead of doing them.
You redesign your routine instead of following it.
You spend 30 minutes planning how to save 20 minutes.
At some point, productivity stops being about doing more.
It becomes about removing everything that makes starting harder.
What's one productivity habit or system you eventually realized was making things more complicated?
